I’ve had a few messages asking to do another video driving with the DJI Osmo Pocket mounted in a forward facing direction on the windshield of a car…this time in 4K 24fps.
I decided to kill two birds with one stone here because I also was doing an in car test of the DJI Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Audio Adapter coupled with the Comica CVM-SigLav powered lavalier microphone.
I think everyone that’s interested in the Osmo Pocket is currently well aware of the shortcomings and confusion surrounding the 3.5mm audio adapter. After all of my testing and messing around in a few previous videos – the Comica is the only microphone that I own that actually seems to work pretty well with the Osmo Pocket.
It’s not perfect by any means, but does seem to allow me to capture more clean on camera audio than the on board microphones in this sort of situation. I’m still not 100% impressed, but you can decide for yourselves!
By the way, please ignore the rambling that I did on this. I recorded this on the day that Apple was doing their March Apple Event. So much of the audio is just me talking about random Apple related stuff…lol
